None Above Natural Law

"Making music is art, it doesn't change who you are as a person. It doesn't mean you're entitled or you're above the law. You still treat people as human beings. It doesn't change the laws of the universe. Life has a balance and for every action there is a reaction. So if you put negative energy in, negative energy comes back to you. You have to live your life within the laws of the universe and I haven't lost sight of that." Shawn Carter

The Best Bond
Recently the question has been raised "Who is the best Bond?" and being a fan of the adventures of agent 007 I had to really sit and think about the answer; whom indeed? The answer to such a question is tricky and usually gets confused with "who is your favorite bond?"
To be the best Bond you have to exemplify everything that the character Agent 007 stands for. The reason why they are able to assign new agents to the name James Bond and grant them 007 status is because the man is not as important as the symbol. The name Bond is a symbol of a UK super agent that can be counted on to get the job done, no matter what the job may be.
To be a Bond you have to be effortlessly smooth in every and any situation. Which means when the bartender ask you for your drink it should roll off your tongue as cool as your own name does. Style is an essential that comes with the name. It's not just the clothes that Bond wears but the way he wears them and the level of comfort that he exudes while in the clothes. This is a man that can sleep in a full tux without wrinkling it and wake up well rested. Most men have trouble getting the time of day out of most attractive women but the women that Bond comes in contact with are all drop dead gorgeous and he has no problem navigating a conversation to accomplish his goal. In most of the series the Bond girls are actually spies themselves so actually Bond's "interrogation process" can be considered a part of his mission.
In my honest opinion the man that played the Bond character the best is Pierce Brosnan.
Brosnan played Bond four different times from 1995 to 2002.
Golden Eye (1995), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World is Not Enough (1999), Die Another Day (2002)

Brains, Beauty & MCM Shades
Amber Rose
When you want to learn anything the best way to gather information is to google it. When I got home and I googled Amber Rose I couldn't find one sentence that encompasses the woman that I met today and that is a shame. This woman's energy is so positive that I didn't see her, I felt it as I walked past and it grabbed me so I looked back only to see that this strong flow of positive energy belonged to an equally beautiful woman. A woman that has been talked about by every single gossip site and hip hop radio station in the tri state area. It's just a shame that through all of this talking no one really hit the nail on the head.
This is a woman who's inner beauty outshines her stunning physic the moment she speaks. If you plant a seed of negativity you can expect nothing but negativity to grow. If you remain positive through moments of extreme negativity you can accomplish anything. We had a very random yet interesting conversation on everything from energy to fashion and I can honestly say that this woman brightened my day.
Thank you

A Hendrix So Real
Sebastian Krüger
While walking through SoHo today I stopped in this art gallery that caught my attention by the name alone "Pop". Upon entering I was greeted by a slew of inspiring pieces but out of the sea quality pop art work two Krüger pieces caught my attention: a Mick Jagger and the Hendrix that you see above. This Hendrix played Stairway to Heaven for me. I touched the painting and plucked a string on the legendary guitar, I asked him for his jacket and he gladly relinquished it to me with a smile but I couldn't get a block in it because it was too big for me. That is how real the paintings are in this gallery so please do yourself a favor and check it out.

Jay-Z - Death of Auto-Tune
I wanted to say that this song has to be one of Jay-Z most misunderstood songs so far but then I realized that the majority doesn't understand what Jay-Z is talking about or where he's going with his songs and they have never understood stemming back to his debut album Reasonable Doubt in '96. When it comes to the jigga man nothing is as it seems, if he says he went right, think left or don't think direction at all. It is all very confusing I know but you have to study his lines to really grasp what he is really saying.

I've been listening to everyone ramble about their feelings on not only the D.O.A song but Jay-Z in recent times as well and I have remained quiet because only a fool speaks on matters he doesn't completely understand. After studying the song and giving everyone else opinion some deep thought I am finally ready to render my opinion.

The D.O.A song is deeper than most people initially realized. There has been some criticism because he neglected to directly call people out. Historically Jay-Z has called out few artist by name and it has only been those that he considered worth it at that time. Think back to the minor dispute between him and The Game after The Game's line on his song West Side Story "I don't wear throwback jerseys and ride in maybach's". When Jay-Z responded in Dear Summer we all knew whom he was referring to and we found it endearing that he didn't even say his name. He even threatened to reveal the artist saying "You gon make that boy Hov put ya name in a song".

There was also some talk of how Jay-Z didn't really say anything in the song, he just went on about how good the song was going to be but in all actuality the song was full of content that is very fitting for the time. Rappers like Jay-Z have a winning formula in their head for how to make a hit record and how to sell albums, that formula usually gets adjusted to what the current state of music is and what is hot. However this song is so big because it is going against the popular vote so to speak. This song excludes everything that he would need to make a hit record right now and that is a point that he stresses in the song. This is a strong statement that he is making, he has re-written the blueprint and redesigned the building. What once was Roc-a-Fella is now Roc Nation. This song is just an introduction to the restructuring of the empire.

Meditations of Marley

Bob Marley
Redemption Song
"Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds. Have no fear for atomic energy cause none of them can stop the time. How long shall they kill our profits while we stand aside and look? Some say it's just a part of it, we've got to fulfill the book.
Won't you help me sing these songs of freedom?"

The Passing of an Icon
It is impossible for you to have never heard a Michael Jackson song in your life no matter how old you are. At some point and time in your life you have to have heard a MJ song. What's wild about this particular pop icon is that he has broken down every boundary with his music. Nationality, age, gender or sexual orientation has absolutely no weight when it comes to whether or not you listen to Jackson. You can't mention any dancer/ singer in current music without mentioning the legend. Yesterday he passed away from heart complications in LA and the fans have been reacting to it in their own way around the world. Personally I delayed this post because the news was still kind of fresh in my mind and I didn't really get the chance to completely wrap my mind around it. I went out and played some basketball to clear my mind and last night during meditation it hit me.
I don't want to celebrate your death but remember your life and your many contributions to music that can never be challenged. Only one person alive can be mentioned in the same breath as him and that man is Prince. Death is nothing more than an idea, human beings are comprised of energy and energy can not be destroyed. The body is just a temporary shell that houses the soul. Therefore when your soul leaves the body the energy just takes on a new form in a different realm of existence. Music, dance, fashion, style, icon...

Lagerfeld on Technology & Fashion
"It is the world of today and I'm in the fashion business so I have to like the world of today. I cannot say elegance is dead; No! Just another phase, if you think it was better before then you stop... It's up to me to adapt myself to the changes and not to be there and criticize changes; we have to find our space in the world of today." K. Lagerfeldsource

Reuben!

Elliot Gould played a character by the name of Reuben in Oceans 13, the third installment of the Oceans trilogy. He plays a very wealthy man that is retired from the hotel and casino business who still maintains relationships with his friends in high places and others that can't be caught in the places that they frequent. His style all throughout the trilogy is very much on point, I would be lying if I said that his character has never inspired any of my outfits.

If You Knew Better...

The saying goes "if you knew better, you would do better". However I feel like its time for us to revise that saying, not because it is untrue but because I (opinion) feel that it is inadequate. How about if you dressed better you would do better. I know that "the clothes don't make the man" and "you can put lipstick on a pig..." however it is an undeniable fact that dressing a certain way boost a person's self-esteem. Men that don't usually wear suits act differently when they are in a suit, so the saying would go something like "dress a certain way and act accordingly".

Have you ever got dressed and just been inspired to accomplish something great that day? The next time you have a test to take, or a presentation to do or a first date with a girl, wear something nice and see how much better you feel. Ever notice that on "bad" days you dress inconspicuous and dreary, while on other days you may be a bit more vivacious and outgoing with the outfit selection? Clothes are like mood rings, in a way, they give you an idea of how the person is feeling.

Street Dreams Feature Film
Mr. Williams talks about his contribution to a film about the life of a street skater directed by Rob Dyrdek. Personally I believe that this film is going to be good because Rob working very closely on it, his vision is very original and at the same time he wants everything to look the way that it should and he wants things to happen the way that they should. As a former street skater myself I can relate, maybe if I had heard Pharrell's song Hoping Over Fences I wouldn't have gotten that ticket.

Kanye West: Paranoid
I like the concept behind the video, Rihanna is sleeping and in her sleep she is imagining that all of this is happening and what the visuals are trying to convey to you is that she is paranoid. In the beginning you see her toss and turn and actually get up because she can't sleep but you never see Kanye appear which is symbolizing that it's all in her head.
Oh, you never had one of those? Lucky you.

No Defense!
Even though this is fictional and I know undoubtedly that Kobe and Lebron do not live together if they did it would most likely go something along the lines of this.

Keri Hilson's David Letterman Performance
The first time that I heard this song I didn't really listen to the lyrics but after listening to it during this performance I have deemed this a good song with REAL content. There is a REAL message in the music.
