Revamped: Louis Vuitton 5th Ave.
If you haven't been paying attention to the display window at LV's 5th ave. flagship store no worries because they have taken steps to ensure that you never miss the store again. The entire exterior of the store has been laced with Takashi Murakami's monogram design. The creativity that goes into the display of Louis Vuitton never seems to amaze me. I mean this is a bold move and I should be surprised but I'm more impressed than anything else.

The New York Times Report: Gareth Pugh
I told you all that the Gareth Pugh collection seen this season was the best and a personal favorite. The shapes were unheard of and the ideas were so futuristic that it would be a big hit with the consumers. If you don't believe me then maybe you should take a look at what Beyoncé wore to the Europe MTV Awards, not just one but two pieces from the Pugh collection.

Comme des Garçons Homme 2008 Fall Collection
Straight from Hypebeast I present to you the Comme des Garçons Fall Collection which includes three outer wear pieces that I fancy. The first is a cotton cardigan which fits quite nicely and resembles the wallpaper at the BBC NYC store. It has a vintage look to it that everyone may not appreciate but for those that will; enjoy.
The next piece to be desired is a waist length rain coat. As if it isn't hard enough to find a nice waist length coat, it is even harder to find a nice waist length rain coat. Judging from the outside appearance it is a ordinary rain coat however the difference is in the cut of the coat which appears to be a bit tapered and tailored in the sides to give it a slimming affect.
The third piece is the best piece of the collection, its a wool duffle coat. I honestly believe that every man should have a toggle coat in his collection and this one is made traditionally with slight alterations. The removable hood is lined with Comme des Garçon signature colors which continue throughout the entire coat and even re-appear underneath the pockets. Try something different this winter, stray away from the bulky bubble coats and slim it down this winter. You don't have to sacrifice warmth or comfort for fashion.

Lady Dior Ad
Dior has pushed their minds, photographers and now Marion Cotillard to the edge; the edge of the Eiffel tower to be exact. The newest ad from Dior as seen above is taken atop the Eiffel tower. Thats a great length to go to for an ad but I actually like it, they took a risk and it paid off for them besides there is a safety net to catch you if you do happen to fall off of the Eiffel tower so it isn't that scary. This is part one of a four part ad set. I look forward to seeing the rest, stay posted.

Black Manolo B's
If your going to put your girl in some heels they can't be any regular heels. When you wear your trainers do you just throw on any regular pair of air forces? I think not, therefor the woman in your life must step as correct as you do. What's more along the lines of proper stepping than Manolo? Remember in 2003 when Jay-Z did the blueprint album and he recreated a Tupac song by the name of Bonnie and Clyde? In that song he mention the Manolo Blahnik line in reference to what his girl wears.
To do the right thing:
Ladies don't feel anyway if he can't or wont do it for you, you can click that link and do it for yourself and there is nothing wrong with that. You are smart, strong beautiful women and I love you all.

Injury Inspired Shoes: Gwendolyn Huskens
I don't have much of an opinion on these pieces by Huskens but I will say that I hope that they are produced and placed on the market. I'm interested to see how they will do and what women would do with them, especially that full leg heel, it actually looks like those heels assist you in walking. Once again an idea for our material possessions doing more for us than assisting us in looking good.

Smart Pants: Outlier OG Chino
The pants seen above are the OG model pant made by Outlier. These chino's are being advertised as great biker pants which I don't doubt that they are but I just feel like they could be used more practically for ready to wear. These chino's are engineered to be not only water but also stain and grease resistant, which is a tremendous improvement to the chino's that we pay out the wahzoo for and they do nothing for us but help us look better than we already do. Times are changing and the consumers are getting more demanding by the day so designers are going to have make their clothes do a little more than just bring out our facial features or celebrate our posture.

Marc Jacobs Spring 09
The new Marc Jacobs spring 09 trainers are looking like updated versions of the previously released trainers that were so sought after that they went on sale and sold out every size the same day. Personally I like the revamped trainers, sometimes you create something and it is so cool that you feel like you want to push it a bit further and try to make it a little bit better, Jacobs has definitely succeeded in doing so with these trainers.

Change The World: Barack Obama
I don't think that Time magazine had any inclination as to how important time would be to Barack Obama. Time is a key factor in everything that this man has done. Obama gave his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention for the Democratic Nominee for the Presidency of the United States of America exactly 45 years after Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his "I have a dream" speech. The dreams and aspirations of all the people that fought for the Jim Crow laws to be overturned, the people that fought for slavery to be abolished, the people that gave their life in hopes that the generations to come will have equality and so many more have finally been realized. From Pharaoh's and Kings to Senator's and Presidents of a nation that once couldn't see a black man as a citizen therefor restricted him from voting. Ladies and gentlemen of America and abroad I now present to you the next President of the United States of America, Barack Obama; a true testament to what time is capable of.
"but on the positive side/ I think Obama provides hope and challenges minds/ of all races and colors to erase the hate/" Nas

Paul's Loose Change
First of all I have to say that this is a mans bag. Shocked? I was a bit surprised by that fact. Second of all, if you are familiar with certain designers signatures, you would recognize the tag hanging from the handle and immediately associate the color pattern on the back with Paul Smith because that is exactly who designed this bag. As far as anything else about the bag, it's pointless for me to even say it, the bag speaks for itself.
-style note-
Did you notice the English flag depiction on the face of the bag? Look at it.

Chanel and The Style Guy
I'm pretty sure that by now everyone is familiar with the Sartorialist. If not, his name is Scott Schuman and he started a blog called the sartorialist where he displays style from different people around the world. That blog led to a contract with GQ magazine to do a section for them entitled "The Style Guy". He was recently commissioned to do the photo shoot for the Chanel men's line. The shots came out great and you still get his signature perspective on these looks.
-style note-
I don't care who designed them I would never wear pearls. They just aren't for men in my book; sorry.

L&F Personal:
A Sportier Gucci
Gucci takes a sportier approach to their new timepiece with these looks which were originally designed in promotion of the Beijing Olympics and limited to that region of the world. I guess that it was a successful experiment because the looks have been expanded to a full line and are now available worldwide. The wristband is plastic and embedded with the classic double G monogram and the time display on the face is digital.
Available at Gucci retailers worldwide soon.
