D'evil's
It would be irresponsible for me to show you the good w/o showing you the bad. There is a negative and positive to everything that you do, the night life is no exception to that.
When everything won't stop spinning.
When everyone is a blur.
When you can't slow down.
You crash and spit up everything you ate & some of your stomach lining.
Even after you crash and your eyes are closed you can't rest because the darkness won't stop spinning.
Welcome to the Night Life.

Major Lazer!
It wasn't until a road trip to Philly with the good
Dr. Phil that I heard this song. Prior to that I knew
nothing of Major Lazer but I'm sure glad that I do now.

Don't Sit Down
BALENCIAGA
Raised Pyramid Bill Fold
I like the design idea behind this wallet. It is very appealing but I keep my wallets in my back pocket and I don't think this would be very comfortable for me to sit down on. That is also the reason why I prefer plastic to paper if you know what I mean. Sure knots are appealing to the eye but after a while money clips don't hold it and it's just ridiculous to walk around with wad's of money; unless your next stop is the strip club.
I Didn't Get The Memo
Ever wanted to purchase a pair of Louis Vuitton shoes but didn't feel like leaving your house to do so? No problem go to Eluxury, the only site authorized to sell LV goods other than the LV site of course. Recently I journeyed to the site to see what was new and the image above was what I found. We all get to the point where we feel like we need to refresh, you just get tired of viewing the same thing. According to the mission statement for the new Eluxury, the concept is going to be so much more than just selling clothes. I'm actually kind of excited to see the new direction materialize. When you think of Eluxury as a online retailer your thinking of one of the best so I'm expecting good things from the restructuring of the site.

Taz
“My job is to destroy people with creativity and style, which actually doesn’t destroy but inspires them. That’s my job.” click here
Well Taz Arnold has certainly caused some talk over his choice in style during Paris Fashion Week. I think right now people are a bit unsettled, when it comes to T.I.$.A. Some of them think he's a nutcase, others believe it's all a gimmick just for the hype and a small contingency even believes that he is a homosexual. The way I see it is most of the people drawing conclusions about the man aren't qualified to do so for way too many reason's to type. However I understand why they are reacting this way so it doesn't come as a surprise to me. I know for a fact that if a Martian came to my front door I wouldn't know how to react. It's one thing to believe in Martians but it's another to actually see one. This is what people are experiencing, they aren't used to someone dressing like Taz so they aren't quite sure how to react to it.
Last summer I was fortunate enough to sit down and have a conversation with Taz; nothing too deep just a regular conversation between two gentlemen. From his disposition I gathered that he is a very relaxed person, (from what I hear California would do that to you). He isn't what you would call a outspoken person, despite the tone of some of his outfits, his mind power speaks louder than he actually does. At that time I was feeling alone in the world, I started to see things for what they really were and found out a lot of the things around me were just smoke and mirrors. With my new found level of consciousness (non drug induced) I felt superior to most people around me. However that day I was brought to a realization that brought me great satisfaction, I was not the only Jedi in the world. Thank you.

Unforgettable
Something We Forgot
While heading to the office today I realized that there is a statue of George Washington on Nassau right before it turns into Broad st. Upon this statue catching my eye it held my attention for the next five minutes. For five whole minutes I stood there like a tourist analyzing every article of clothing with as careful an eye as I possessed. As the shot clock buzzer went off in my head and I snapped out of it, an idea was so strong in my head that it unconsciously escaped my lips "somewhere along the line we got lost".
This is an idea that I have been wrestling with for some time now and it seems that everyday I find a new example to either support my idea or remind me of how far gone the society in my generation really is. I am honestly in fear for the years to come because if things continue to progress the way that they have been going there are some dark days ahead of us.
Don't get me wrong, there have been many social advances throughout the course of history that should not and cannot be undone because in the past there were many social injustices going on but this post in particular is referring to the style of dressing of this time period. Somewhere along the line people lost a sense of pride in their appearance. We lost a sense of self dignity some how and it directly affects the way we act, the way we dress, the type of friends we have, the relationships that we get into and the jobs that we do. This man went to war in this attire and we can't even go to the corner deli in something decent. Am I the only one that see's something wrong with that?

Jay-Z - Death of Auto-Tune
I wanted to say that this song has to be one of Jay-Z most misunderstood songs so far but then I realized that the majority doesn't understand what Jay-Z is talking about or where he's going with his songs and they have never understood stemming back to his debut album Reasonable Doubt in '96. When it comes to the jigga man nothing is as it seems, if he says he went right, think left or don't think direction at all. It is all very confusing I know but you have to study his lines to really grasp what he is really saying.
I've been listening to everyone ramble about their feelings on not only the D.O.A song but Jay-Z in recent times as well and I have remained quiet because only a fool speaks on matters he doesn't completely understand. After studying the song and giving everyone else opinion some deep thought I am finally ready to render my opinion.
The D.O.A song is deeper than most people initially realized. There has been some criticism because he neglected to directly call people out. Historically Jay-Z has called out few artist by name and it has only been those that he considered worth it at that time. Think back to the minor dispute between him and The Game after The Game's line on his song West Side Story "I don't wear throwback jerseys and ride in maybach's". When Jay-Z responded in Dear Summer we all knew whom he was referring to and we found it endearing that he didn't even say his name. He even threatened to reveal the artist saying "You gon make that boy Hov put ya name in a song".
There was also some talk of how Jay-Z didn't really say anything in the song, he just went on about how good the song was going to be but in all actuality the song was full of content that is very fitting for the time. Rappers like Jay-Z have a winning formula in their head for how to make a hit record and how to sell albums, that formula usually gets adjusted to what the current state of music is and what is hot. However this song is so big because it is going against the popular vote so to speak. This song excludes everything that he would need to make a hit record right now and that is a point that he stresses in the song. This is a strong statement that he is making, he has re-written the blueprint and redesigned the building. What once was Roc-a-Fella is now Roc Nation. This song is just an introduction to the restructuring of the empire.

$10M's Seized
Two days ago 6 shipments of conterfeit goods estimated at about $10 million were seized at the Newark Seaport. The goods originated in China and were heading to locations in New York, South Carolina and Georgia. The goods ranged from Air Jordan trainers to Louis Vuitton bags.
One small victory at a time; REAL v fake.

Redemption Song
"Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds. Have no fear for atomic energy cause none of them can stop the time. How long shall they kill our profits while we stand aside and look? Some say it's just a part of it, we've got to fulfill the book.
Won't you help me sing these songs of freedom?"

The Manifesto
This is one hip hop album that I am definitely looking forward to. I get the message in the video above, basically "we want power" but with power comes responsibility and I don't think everyone is ready for that. If the news stations started telling the truth about everything people wouldn't know how to react. If the government started telling the truth about everything there would be anarchy because no one would believe in the government anymore. The government system only works because we believe it works.
