Words From a Jedi:
Oak Deep Tee
Oak
Your clothing conveys a message about you to everyone, the thing about that is everyone hears a different message because everyone has different experiences. In my opinion this tee is how you say sexy without actually saying sexy.
The great thing about this tee is that you aren't limited to what part of your body you can reveal. Some women don't like their back so for those of you whom fall into that category I suggest you pull the front down.
Then there are those women that love their back but aren't too fond of their chest, Oak has you covered as well. So all around I can honestly say this tee is a good investment.

Reuben!
Elliot Gould played a character by the name of Reuben in Oceans 13, the third installment of the Oceans trilogy. He plays a very wealthy man that is retired from the hotel and casino business who still maintains relationships with his friends in high places and others that can't be caught in the places that they frequent. His style all throughout the trilogy is very much on point, I would be lying if I said that his character has never inspired any of my outfits.

Lady GaGa - Paparazzi
Don't you dare call this a music video! This was a suspenseful cinematic short film. If you must call it a music video then I will be the first to say that the theme was great, the idea was a good one and the execution was flawless. The outfits in this video were out of this world to say the least, the style that she presented in this work of art is enough inspiration for any woman to rethink her summer looks. The way this video was presented makes a world of a difference. I was completely blown away and at the same time stuck to the end of my seat; good show.

Fathers Day Facts
Mrs. Sonora Smart Dodd thought of the holiday one Sunday in 1909 while listening to a Mother's Day sermon at a church in Washington, and she was the first to promote the idea of having an official Father's Day observance to honor all fathers. It took many years to make the holiday official. Where Mother's Day was met with enthusiasm, Father's Day was met with laughter. The holiday initially gathered attention slowly, but the wrong reasons: it was the target of much satire, parody, derision, and inspired jokes in the local newspaper. A bill was introduced in 1913, President Coolidge supported the idea in 1924, and a national committee was formed in the 1930s by trade groups in order to legitimize the holiday. It was not officially recognized as a holiday until 1972 during Nixon's administration.

Wale ft. Lady GaGa - Chillin'
I heard this song about a month or so back and the first time I heard it I liked the sound so much that I played it back to back for about an hour. Now that the video is out I like the song even more. The level of creativity in the video is something that I haven't seen pulled off so well in a music video in a while. A pleasure to watch.

Still Under The Grafh
I've been listening to Grafh since I was in junior high school. On the one hand I feel a way about the fact that he hasn't been offered a good enough deal because I think he was and still is an extremely talented artist. On a better note from listening to these bars (I lost count) I can tell that he has figured out the politics of the industry and the consequences of not playing the game, the question is: Will he adjust for success or will he stay true to himself?

You Should Always Strap
Kriss Van Assche
I just wrapped my brain around the idea of seeing a patent leather ankle strap on a woman's boot and I find this black leather thong sandal with two leather straps. One of the straps comes across the instep and the other actually goes a bit above the ankle, wrapping around the shin. Once again this is Assche going outside of the norm to provide women with something special.

Same idea, different concept.

The Women Are Strapping Too
Kriss Van Assche
The body of the boot is leather but as you make your way to the top of the boot you will find the patent leather ankle strap; yeah that's right. A patent leather ankle strap, on a heel and the part that blows my mind is it doesn't look bad at all. Ladies you have Kris Van Assche to thank for this daring creation.

Slide To Unlock
At this point it seems like Apple comes out with a new application everyday but this is an application of a different kind; the application of an idea to an everyday item. Of all things to apply this idea to I would have never thought of women's undergarments.

More Japan Vogue
Lately I've been looking more into Japan Vogue, not that I never payed attention to it before but lately more than ever before. I think I'm going to look further into Japan GQ, then investigate Paris. I starting to realize that these other issues of Vogue, Mens Vogue and GQ have (slightly) more to offer than the US version. Is creativity and emotion censored in US magazines? It seems to me that these foreign releases have so much more emotion in the pictures and dresses that I would usually consider non-functional are displayed so well that I am giving second thought to my theory.
So what is it that Japan, Tokyo, Paris and maybe even London have over the US? In my opinion I believe that we have gotten so relaxed due in large part to our belief that we are the best that these other countries are just outworking us because they have something to prove; with the exception of Paris of course.

If You Knew Better...
The saying goes "if you knew better, you would do better". However I feel like its time for us to revise that saying, not because it is untrue but because I (opinion) feel that it is inadequate. How about if you dressed better you would do better. I know that "the clothes don't make the man" and "you can put lipstick on a pig..." however it is an undeniable fact that dressing a certain way boost a person's self-esteem. Men that don't usually wear suits act differently when they are in a suit, so the saying would go something like "dress a certain way and act accordingly".
Have you ever got dressed and just been inspired to accomplish something great that day? The next time you have a test to take, or a presentation to do or a first date with a girl, wear something nice and see how much better you feel. Ever notice that on "bad" days you dress inconspicuous and dreary, while on other days you may be a bit more vivacious and outgoing with the outfit selection? Clothes are like mood rings, in a way, they give you an idea of how the person is feeling.

BoHo Style: A Lingering Trend
What you are viewing above is a compilation of BoHo style thanks to Intermix. I have been seeing this trend creep in as early as last year, really stylish women were doing it two years ago; but at that time they were looked upon as weird women. However last summer it got it's official start with the re-introduction of gladiator sandals into the market. Women were tossed into a frantic search for a style to match the sandals, factor in the temperature and the rising popularity of vintage stores and there you have it: BoHo.
My prediction about what is going to happen is similar to the life-cycle of any trend. BoHo is going to get really big this summer, you aren't going to be able to go a SoHo Block without seeing a woman in cut shorts, bright tops and head ties of some quirky sort. Then in the height of the summer it is going to get over saturated and begin to die down. By the time next summer rolls around BoHo should be quietly on it's way out the door. If it does not follow this cycle then I will be truly surprised. However until that time comes, get ready for a summer full of these simple but eccentric looks.

The Mental Complexity
Sometimes we make life harder than it has to be, just because it seems too simple.
Sometimes the answer right in front of you is the right answer and sometimes it isn't.
Who determines whether you made the right choice or not?
If that be the case then why not consult yourself for the answer?
Makes sense doesn't it?

Cockpit Herringbone Cardigan (Sale)
If you take a wool knit vest, put a nice herringbone pattern on it, and another set of pockets and finally sleeves; then you'll probably get something that resembles the creation above. I am a huge fan of cardigans and honestly I have never seen anything quite like this before, this was such a good idea.
My only concern is the length of the sleeves, models are usually tall people and the clothes are mainly made to fit them so the fact that the sleeves are a bit long on the model bothers me but it's nothing that your tailor can't handle anyway.
-side note-
Why didn't the stylist on set clamp the sleeves behind the elbow so it looked better for the shot? The pins would have been out of sight and the presentation would have been so much better.

"I wasn’t speaking “OUT” against black people; I was speaking with them. If you notice I was saying “I” a lot. I made a point to say that. I said “I” because when you tend to speak about issues; people automatically exempt themselves from those issues, doesn’t affect me like I’m perfect, so i just wanted to speak about a lot of things going on but I said it from a first hand point of view."
