The Beat of SoHo

When you hear the word SoHo what comes to mind? Most may think of the shopping area located in downtown Manhattan. The word SoHo is actually short for south of Houston street, declaring that stores like LV, Prada, Bloomingdales, A/X, The Lounge, G-Star, etc. are all located in the SoHo area. However SoHo represents something more than just a shopping area, it has so much more to offer than just department stores and fashion boutiques. SoHo has some great eateries and cafe's including two properly positioned Starbucks and one more not too far away in NoHo. There are plenty of appliance stores, there is a crate and barrel but aside from all of the stores there is a beat to SoHo. When you come to SoHo as a native you may not realize how amazing the area is and how many different types of people are attracted to this one area but when the tourist come they enjoy their visit to SoHo because they can see things from a different perspective. They can feel the SoHo beat and they like it so they keep coming.
Recently I've been feeling the SoHo beat, it feels like the first time that I ever stumbled upon SoHo; incredible. I was so captivated by the location that I was there everyday and it earned me the name SoHo B. I feel like the spirit of SoHo is so free, the people that feel the SoHo Beat do what they want to do and they make it work. They don't follow trends or think the way that society wants them to think, they pave their own road that just happens to be so far away from the highway of society that they can't see the other drivers. It is a wonder to see and sometimes it may be confusing but if you really open your eyes you will start to understand. The hardest thing to do is to be yourself because people aren't always so receptive to different. The brain easily accepts something that it has already seen and something that it understands, some people don't want to understand anything outside of what they already know and thats what makes these forward thinkers so cool. They dare to be themselves knowing that they would get critiqued about it by everyone who didn't understand but not being deterred by the critics.
I caught her in SoHo a long time ago but I'm still in love with her look.

I commend her for wearing what she likes and what she feels comfortable in.
This is André J. Hate it or love it, he could care less; you have to respect that.
